Ask your Pet Photographer how they handle unique situations. There are fun loving happy dogs that don't want to sit. There are fearful dogs in new situations. There are some breeds that just aren't friendly to strangers but if they get to know someone its okay. Or what if you cannot take your pup anywhere without a muzzle.
Your specialized Pet Photographer should not only know how to handle unique situations but should also be up to the challenge. Not every dog that steps in front of camera and lights are used of it, or knows sit/stay or used of preforming or they are not show dogs etc... but a professional Pet Photographer is specialized, experienced and has training to handle these situations.
