One Last Chapter

After much thought, I've made a decision about the future of my little photography business.

My upcoming CARE event (Covington Animal Rescue Effort) and Santa & Pets at Subaru benefiting MidSouth Pug Rescue will be my final two events. After these two events, I will no longer be offering event photography. No events in 2027, and no events going forward.  This includes paid corporate events.

Over the years, I've enjoyed meeting so many wonderful people and pets, supporting rescues, and being part of events that bring our community together.  Those experiences have touched my heart.

But I've also realized that the planning, coordinating, and recruiting help needed to make events happen has increasingly taken time and energy away from the part of photography I love most — actually photographing animals.

It's time for a change.  I am entering a new phase of life ~ retirement.  I'm not closing my camera bag, and I'm certainly not giving up photographing all the animals that I love so much! I'm simply choosing to focus my time and energy differently. And scale back.

As I head into 2027, I'll be focusing on private, fun and limited available sessions.  With creative projects that remind me why I fell in love with photography in the first place. (animals!)

I mentioned in previous blog post I have started "learning" behind the scenes videos and I am starting a Studio Ambassador Program. <<== I am so excited about this! I really do have some fun ideas for next year.

I am always available to volunteer with foster parents who need some glamour shots to get rescue dogs seen and adopted.  Thats not changing. Foster dogs are always welcomed in studio.

I'm incredibly grateful to everyone who has supported my work and been part of these events over the years. Keep supporting animal rescue !! They need your support ... now more than ever.

For now, I have two more events to enjoy, and I intend to give them my very best.📸🐾💕

Two final events. One last chapter.

Retirement means a new pace of life, but my camera and my little photography business aren't going anywhere! ❤️
